A bstract The plethora of increasingly precise experiments which hunt for axion-like particles (ALPs), as well their widely different energy reach, call the theoretical understanding ALP couplings at loop-level. We derive one-loop contributions to ALP-SM effective couplings, including finite corrections. complete leading-order — dimension five linear Lagrangian is considered. left off-shell, particular impact on LHC and accelerator searches ?? , ZZ Z? WW gluons fermions. All results are obtained in covariant R ? gauge. few phenomenological consequences also explored illustration, with flavour diagonal channels case fermions: particular, we explore constraints coupling top quarks, that can be extracted from data, astrophysical sources Dark Matter direct detection such PandaX, LUX XENON1T. Furthermore, clarify relation between alternative bases, role gauge anomalous interface chirality-conserving chirality-flip fermion interactions, briefly discuss renormalization group aspects.
